Life was different; not that, that was bad, Luci was off on her own for the first time in her life and was taking in one step at a time. She owned and not rented her first house, which she loved, she was re-decorating it and repainted it just the way she wanted. She also for the first time had a puppy! She had always wanted one but couldn't because her father and her ex-fiancee were severely allergic. The first think she did after buying her house was going to a local animal shelter and adopted who she calls her "kindred spirit" a little husky puppy who's "mommy" abandoned him on the site of the highway, where he faced certain doom. She had decided that he was the only man she needed in her life at the moment. She had him for a week and she already loved him to death.
So..that day it seemed after two weeks of living there she had slipped into a very easy routine. She woke up showered, did her hair, Aka just ran a brush through it, put on some makeup, grabbed her bag with her freshly charged Ipod, laptop, and cell phone, before getting the leash and walking with Samson to the local coffee joint. She sat at a table outside, the leash hooked to the bottom on her chair, enjoying the chilly weather that day. She to her laptop out after getting her cup of coffee, sipping at it. She needed a caffeine buzz going. She pulled her Ipod out and looked up through her sunglasses, seeing cameras and some famous person, she let out a laugh, looking down at Samson, who looked up from his chew toy; he was in the 'i want to chew everything and will chew everything' stage and Luci loved it! "Poor person..Sammy..this is why they come out like this..so they can get noticed." She whispered down to the white husky. After that she placed her headphones in their place and turned her Ipod on, letting the music flood her ears and calm her down. She took a few more sips of her coffee before opening her mini laptop and getting the internet connection going. She pulled up her email for work and clicked on one of the ones she left off with, it was from around two weeks ago. She loved this part of her job, but today it seemed very interesting. A "regretful man", who talked about his fiancee and longtime girlfriend who left him because she thought he had cheated on her, he wanted advice on how to win her back. She let out a laugh, receiving a few glares from the current coffee drinkers. She looked at them through her dark tinted sunglasses. "I'll give you something to stare at...take one look at my eyes and you'll pee your pants." she thought to herself with a smirk. She looked back down at her mini laptop and started to type carefully and thoughtfully.
"Dear regret,
I can't say much on how to win this girl back. But, I can quote a song/artist; the very talented and lovely, Martina McBride, "word gets around in a small, small town" you may not have been abusive but it still works, and boy is this a small town with a population of 201 you can't even walk out your front door without the half town noticing. My advice is to grow up and past, what doesn't kill us can only make you stronger. Face up and stop being in denial. Your ex has most likely moved on and you should to. Oh and next time just don't cheat. Be a man and not a boy...be faithful.
~Your advice guru~"
Luci smiled to herself as she clicked send, sending it to her boss. She looked at two others, no matter what she always got to at least two or three of them and always got to all of her emails. The other two were easy to write one being from a "proposing boyfriend" who needed advice on his proposal idea wanting to know if it was good or not. The other was a "fed up mother" who was sick of her thirty-two year old son who lived in her basement; apparently momma wanted to entertain her latest fling and couldn't get "down and dirty" with her "cock blocking" son down below. Luci gave her advice and pressed send again. It was perfect because no one would expect her anymore, since she no longer lived in town..or in the same state even. She thought about this taking more sips of her coffee, shutting her laptop and putting it back in her bag, still listening to the music flooding her ears.
Oh yes, life was good, different now, but good. Not everything was figured out anymore, but everyday was a new adventure and with a city so big; she could dead with not knowing what was going to happen. She had the perfect job, her own home, a puppy, and was in the middle of writing a book. That's all she needed.......Right?

I DON'T CARE GET A CLUE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Chey was busy and rushing to say the least. Life had changed so much for him but he was loving it, he always was an attention whore and this lifestyle was made solely for him. He could get away with murder, literally. Just because he could sing and play a fucking guitar. As amusing as he found this, it was kinda sad. Today's society worshiped the dumbest things and people. Instead of putting the actual hero's on top, dumb blond that could throw their breast around in playboy got more. A grin on his lips as he pulled up at the curb of the Coffee Bean. He may of been on top but he still needed his caffeine fix to run properly. He turned the car off sitting back in his seat pulling down his sun visor looking over his features. He thought he kinda looked like a girl and the eyeliner and long hair didn't help. He brushed his bangs from his eyes and put the visor back up getting out his car slipping a big pair of stunner shades on covering nearly the entire top half of his face. Once inside the Coffee Bean he took in the tantalizing smells of the place, god he loved coffee.
He walked up to the counter ordering his usually Latte. As he waited he turned, leaning against the counter. Not much really caught his attention, and how most guys drooled over blonde's, he was the same exact way with redheads. Something about them drove him crazy. So naturally when he spotted the beauty he had no other choice but to approach. The puppy was next to be noticed and any other time he would of lavished his affections on the dog but right now he had things to do and people to meet. He stood by the edge of the table and extended his hand to her, painted nails and all. He cocked his head and gave a half smile as he took in her unusual eyes. Another major plus but she had this look to her. As sweet as he imagined her to be sitting in a coffee shot typing and playing with her puppy, something about her seemed.....aloof? Still he was a pretty relentless guy so decided to speak anyways,
"Hey, I'm Cheyenne. Sorry for just walking over, but uhh you caught my attention. Your hair, it's really beautiful"
he said with a shrug. He never really understood beating around the bush, people always missed out on so many chances in life because they were afraid to speak or just could form their words right. He personally found it much easier just to spit it and if they didn't like it...well fuck 'em.

Luci hadn't noticed the man walk into the coffee shop, she was too busy listening to the music and writing a few more letters for the next week; so she could spend a few days thinking and writing her book. She looked down at Samson, maybe she could write a few children books, kids loved puppies right? Maybe she could have a book about Samson. Yeah. that would be a good idea, it could tell about his story, how he was abandoned and then adopted..maybe it would talk about the foods, toys, and games he liked to play.
Deep in thought the hand that appeared infront of her startled her. She let out a quiet gasp but looked up seeing a man standing infront of him. She took his hand softly as she shook it before letting go.
"Hello."
She said softly in her strange accent, that obviously made her stand out just a little more in this town. She listened to him as he spoke and her fingers tugged slightly at the ends of her red strands. Her cheeks flushed only slightly, no one had ever said that her hair was beautiful. In her hometown they had used many words; odd, different, strange..but never beautiful. Though, she loved her hair, she loved that she stood out from everyone else. It just proved that she was her own person instead of someone that followed trends.
"Thanks. It's natural too."
She let out a soft flowing laugh at what she said. She found it odd, people stopped her all the time in the last two weeks, asking her what color her hair was, who did her hair, or where she dyed it at and then they were all shocked when they found out she didn't dye her hair. And yes, she laughed at her own jokes. She was just that good. She suddenly realized that she had never told him her name.
"I'm Lucille...Luci.."
She said with a small friendly smile. She felt the wet nose of Samson; who was looking up at her with his clear blue eyes. She loved the fact that he looked like he had thick black eyeliner on. She smiled at him and let out a small chuckle, it was like he was almost saying. "Hey! Don't forget me!" She looked at this Cheyenne; giving him a bright smile.
"And this fello is Samson."
She said with another grin. The puppy let out a happy bark and put his paw up on her leg. His white tail was wagging fast as he heard his name. His head was held up high as he layed it on his head on Luci's leg. He knew that he was special and he knew that he was the only dog in Luci's life, there for he was..well he was the Beta in the family, since Luci was the alpha.
